David Treppendal, global warming is the biggest hoax put upon man. I met a man who worked for the National Weather Service. He and his coworkers are the ones who analyze the data and give to the talking heads. He said the talking heads do not speak to their analisis but to what the politians want to here and what brings in money which is the global warming hoax. 75% or more of the folks in his position feel the same.
America has reduced pollutants more by a lot of any other country. To do what the liberals want to do to “save the planet” will destroy our economy. They want all vehicles to be EV’s by 2030. We do not have the generation capacity or transmission ability and will not that fast to power all those EV’s. Plus when you look at EV’s from beginning to end (mining the raw materials to end of life of the Ev) they have real consequences to the environment. They also want green electricity production, wind farms and solar farms. The wind mill from birth to end is horrible for the environment. during their life span they actually draw in more power than they produce. There is a very narrow wind speed in which they can operate. Therefore they only operate 35% of the time. During the nonoperating periods they have to draw in power to keep the oil systems operating so it is ready when the wind speed is in the ban to operate. This power comes from fossil powered plants. Solar farms are worse due to the chemicals in them which have no way of disposing of them and very hazardous to man. The other issue with the two of them is that they are dependent on the weather and therefore not a reliable source of steady state base load power. An example of this is Vermont. Entergy close the one nuclear plant there that produce 50% of the power the state used. The state politians said not problem, we have wind, solar, gas, and Canadian hydro. The following winter was a bad one. The wind mills froze up. The solar panels had feet of snow on them. Canada could not send their power from the hydros. Gas was a normal price for home heating but an inflated price for industry which power plants are considered. The price per magawatt day went from $30.00/day to $300.00 overnight and the rate payer had to pay this. Rate payers are the customers, you and me. America cannot afford this but the Harris administration does not care how bad it hurts the American citizen.
CO2 has been much higher in Earth’s history and thrived.
If global warming is going to cause coastal flooding within the next 10 years as those on the left claim, then why are they buying and building mansions on the coast and banks loaning the money for it. It is because they know this is a hoax.
I have worked in the electric industry for 40 years and understand the issues of power generation and transmission. You apparently do not.
